How to connect AIRTEL GPRS in UBUNTU 10.04 PC using LG KP 220 mobile?

Opersating Syatem: UBUNTU 10.04
Mobile model: LG KP 220
Service provider: AIRTEL, TAMILNADU, INDIA

AIRTEL GPRS SETTINGS
Set up your mobile device as given below
MENU --> BROWSER --> DATA ACCOUNT --> GPRS --> Select ACCOUNT 1 --> EDIT
Enter the below settings on your mobile
Account Name: AIRTEL GPRS
APN: airtelgprs.com
User name: (leave blank do not type anything in this)
Password: (leave blank do not type anything in this)
Auth Type: Normal
Then return to the main menu and select
BROWSER -->WAP --> SETTINGS --> EDIT PROFILE --> Select any one of the profile and select “EDIT PROFILE” (do not select ACTIVATE PROFILE at this time)
Enter the below settings
Rename: Mobile Office
Home Page: Http://www.google.com
Data Account: SELECT --> GPRS --> AIRTEL GPRS
Connection: Select Connection Oriented (enter this details when prompted IP address: 202.056.231.117; Security: OFF)
Note: You have to select connection oriented even it is selected by default in order to add IP address and Security settings
User name: (leave blank do not type anything in this)
Password: (leave blank do not type anything in this)
Press DONE and Press YES when prompted to SAVE the settings.
Now select (It will go back automatically to the initial place where you can ACTIVATE/EDIT the WAP PROFILE) Activate Profile --> YES.
Now Switch OFF your mobile and switch ON.

CONNECT TO UBUNTU 10.04 PC
Connect Your LG (KP 220) MOBILE via USB cable and select "COM Port" on the phone when prompted.
A New window will open automatically to set up MOBILE BROADBAND (If not prompted, Right click on the " NETWORK MANAGER APPLET" on the GNOME PANEL and select Edit Connections or You can LEFT click the NETWORK MANAGER APPLET icon on the GNOME PANEL and select "New MOBILE BROADBAND connection").
Then Select "MOBILE BROADBAND" --> ADD --> FORWARD (leave the default settings) --> Select the country "INDIA" and press FORWARD--> Select AIRTEL and press FORWARD --> FORWARD (Leave the default values for the PLAN and APN) --> Finally press "APPLY".
Now Left click the NETWORK MANAGER APPLET and Select AIRTEL GPRS.

That's It. You Are done.

NOW BROWSE THE WEB PAGES ON YOUR PC AND ENJOY.
